Some died. Some lived- to see this...
The monsoons this year were especially unkind. Ahmedabad, and the places around, saw torrential rains beginning late June and continuing well into September. Heavy damage to life and property. The world around things were no different. Katrina, Wilma and all that sort of thing.
But out of every bad thing comes some good. A few days after the last of the heavy rains I came across this flooded brick-kiln on my way back from work. It was a few minutes before sunset and though the sky was blue everything around was tinted a vivid golden. A picture perfect moment, if not a perfect picture.
As I said, out of every bad comes good.

the reflection came out really well...i was hoping to see the golden tint alongwith the red richness...and maybe a bit of the pillar.
So true. Well said.
sahil, even as i pass by each day from the same location i try imagining how beautiful it wud have been to see all dat the rain had done to the same location....even though its dried up now the place gives me a good feeling, courtesy ur pic!!!:D
ps:but it also reminds me how inconvenient life had become for everybody at that tym wid the wild outrageous rain...and even in dat kinda condition u managed to go to the workshop and also find beauty on the way...keep it up!!:)
