Stairway to heaven?
Just wondering; is this what a stairway to heaven would look like? Framed by an elaborately, and intricately, carved arch and solid, brass-studded, mahogany doors? An ethereal figure-in-white ascending before you as you await your turn, next?
Temples, mosques, churches- all purport to get you closer to heaven, and to God. Do they? Really? Just wondering...

Thanks very much for your comments.
Yes, I do believe that a picture becomes more enjoyable if its viewed in the right context. A few words go a long way in establishing that context, especially if, as in my case, the picture illustrates the context in a rather roundabout and abstruse way...
Brilliant shot here! the composition is really nice and the motion blur really adds to the spiritual content in this picture! really nice.
The most sacred place is the one in my heart... it's where I celebrate life, love and people... religion aside, I love the story this one tells, it really stirs the imagination.
just how many did you take before getting it so beautifully right...
